Hopefully the RV-6 will bring about a few more cheap RV-5s on Ebay.
I want one, but I can't justify the money on one when I'd just use the 'Modulate' mode.

I think if you do enough research you can find a pretty suitable compromise.

Most venues I play have speaker cabinets that are free to use for playing bands, so half the time I only need to take an amp head, pedalboard and guitar. Works well for me.

I had the Hardwire phaser for about four weeks, then it broke.

Had the Boss CE-5 for a couple of years, it does the subtle chorus thing really well. Really pisses my dog off though.

That's the kind of shit that makes me never want to play again, mostly because I'll never be able to shred with that much class.

I'll knock together a couple of sound clips for you next week when I'm not getting hammered by assessment.

I'll do a proper demo with black jack, and hookers.

I bought a set of those GFS Goldfoil pickups

I bought a couple of these for a cheap beater guitar I got that I wanted to experiment on. I can't testify to their authenticity as I haven't played any original Goldfoils, but they sound very clear and jangly to me, a little like Strat pickups. Artist Guitars Legend D Valve head

Hey guys,
I picked up this cheap little fellow, waited a couple of weeks to make a demo because I got a new speaker along with it and wanted to break it in a little.

The smallish one I was using probably wouldn't have been loud enough to gig with, but it has DI out and any sound man was always delighted when I told them I was just using a Roland Cube as a monitor for myself and they could do what they wanted by way of micing or DI'ing it. I often got compliment...

It has a preamp out.

Bacchus makes a good point; a Roland Cube would suit you perfectly.

Have a look about to see if you can find a Hiwatt T20.
Affordable EL84 driven amp that stays clean most of the way up the dial. Has reverb, a half power option and an overdrive channel too.

Xotic X-Blender with bass fuzz

Hey guys, I bought this pedal to blend some clean signal back into my heavier tone when playing guitar in my band, but it really makes using overdrive, distortion and fuzz with bass a lot more practical and, well... bassy. The EQ and boost are nice too. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXO9Oo...

I've been using a VST that's an emulation of a Sansamp for bass tones recently. It's been working pretty well so far but it'd be nice to have something that actually exists in the physical world.
I might have to pick one of these up.

Hot damn, that Sovtek...

I was looking at a bunch of them on Ebay last night, still trying to decide if I want to stretch out the budget for an Orange head or look into more affordable Sovtek.
