Paul that really is amazing, I'm absolutely blown away by the beauty of your work.

Could I get you to put the photobombs under spoilers for me? I have the shittiest computer/connection on earth. :)

Awesome! I've also got a CP Jag and Jazz and love them, so it's cool to see your mods. Where'd you get the guard for the Jazzblaster?

I bought a sheet from guitar fetish and cut it myself. it came out ok. theres a slight gap on the neck pickup where i was rushing and over cut. and a chip on the upper horn where my router took a chunk out. but it was a good learning experience

The father-in-law's 56/57 Telecaster that I've mentioned briefly before. I believe the story is that he bought it new, I think he said something like for $150 with an amp, then when he went to uni he left it with his brother. His brother stripped the finish and it was originally blonde. At some point in its life there was some damage to the neck and it was replaced with one a similar age. Either the guitar is a 56 and the neck a 57 or the other way around. Whichever it is it has an unbelievably comfortable V profile. I never got to plug it into an amp but it feels and plays like it's what all modern telecasters aspire to be. It has all of the magic that is associated with them and the 'it just works' cliché couldn't apply more.

It's a beautiful guitar to play although it comes with a fair bit of awkwardness through knowing what it is, even with the stripped finish and replaced neck. Sort of like how it seems like it would be great fun to rock out to Led Zeppelin riffs on a 1958 Les Paul but if you had it in your hands it's hard to not have respect for it's value and what it now represents.

my dream guitar. I would love to just get to play one . . .

I think the refinish looks good and it looks like it is in great condition. I imagine it'd be worth a pretty penny.

First post here! I don't actually own a short scale guitar... But I'd love to own one and probably will in the future.

Here's 3 of my guitars:

Love that Jazzy, nice touch with the knobs, and the strap is a great match

I got them from a guy from the offsetguitars forum. Let me know if you've got an account on that forum and I'll PM you his user name.

You can buy them at GPR now for less than half of the extortionate Offset price. ($20 for 4 vs $25 for 2)

I've no idea to be honest. I don't think even he knows.

Yeah it seems to be though I never asked him. The case looks class. I have a couple of pictures of it I took myself but recently bought a new computer and they're on the old one. It looks like this though.

Just rewired my #1 guitar with 1meg volume pot and a new 500K push/pull tone pot with coil taps. Its also really sunny so it was a perfect photo opportunity with good light.

It's pretty sunny out and my Blacktop Jazzmaster is finally modded (90%) to my liking so I figure why not have a short photo shoot. I Threw my mustang in there since the last pic of it on shortscale it had a tort pickguard and now its white.

Mods include:
-Back contact paper on the mint guard because black on black is MUCH cooler
-New 250k pots so the controls are actually useful now
-Seymour Duncan Phat Cat bridge pickup, stock humbucker can GTFO
*-One day I'll have slotted tuners

Special thanks for brambleperro for soldering everything! ((thumup)
