I think I heard somewhere that the very first few compstangs had the stripe go all the way around, until Fender decided it was too much work to bother.

Dude, I would love it if you could pick it up.
I've got it arranged to send him a money order right now, but would feel better to send you the cash and grab it in person.
He wants 50 bucks to ship it, but I would paypal you $100 to pick it up, keep it for a week or two, then mail it to me.
Is that ok with you?
He's in Green Ridge, is that too far?

That's awesome that a shortscaler bought it! I am insanely envious of Rodvon's collection!

This is thee one I don't have. I'm not a huge fan of Comp red and don't currently have a vintage one. I've been holding out for a stripe that went all the way around!!

Fuck me. I know rvb is playing it down but he's just snagged the holy grail of compstangs for a joke price. I hope you all realise the significance of this deal. Earth shattering.

If I would get a vintage Mustang, this would be it. Maybe I should have gotten one of these instead of my AVRI Jag.

Stewart, you have no idea how much I want this guitar. This to me is the holy grail. More than any Comp Orange, a comp with the stripe all the way around is so fucking rare.

Nice Score Rod! My heart starting beating pretty fast when I saw the pictures. I also owned a red one with stripes that went all the way around that I stupidly sold. They are very rare. I think that's only the fourth I've seen in 10 years. And the crazy thing is I've only seen red ones with the continuous stripes. Very very cool.

Hotrod...Thanks for posting!

...says the guy with a collection of Comp Orange ones.

Great score by the way. At least it's going to someone who can appreciate it's significance.
