I think you're going to want to see this. Nothing about the guitar itself is that interesting, although the nitro is nice. It's only claim to fame is that it was modified by the Richie Sambora tech.
the finish on the headstock is kinda cool, i have been digging the old tiesco/harmony burst styles lately. tho that price! i wouldn't pay more than 60 bucks for that thing! but thats just me
i hope you get a shitty response. i love it when folks think that something that has been "upgraded" or touched by a "God" is somehow worth waaaaaayyyyy too fucking much.
LOL!!!!!!! I saw this the other day and just took a look at the picture and then skipped it. I totally thought it was a Modded Squier VM Jazzmaster. You could totaly make one of these out of one.
*edit* for $24,000 cheaper.
Congratulations! Your Punkacc9 evolved into Awstin.
the only time a guitar (vintage) should be worth more when its hacked up is if it was someones main axe that was super crazy rockstar or something, like SRV.
Here's another. It's actually a great price because of all the bad decisions heaped upon it. The decal has been "updated" for some reason. I would of course feel duty bound to restore it to factory and rip out the monster guts, though I am sure the Kahler helps keep it in tune for the Arpeggio King seller. The one thing I find crazy/admirable is the single knob. He has both humbuckers going full blast with only a volume control. While I wouldn't want this done to a 73 Tele, I give props to the rawk gloriousness.
its a "rawk" machine for sure. but 1400 dollar rawk machine?
i do like the trem idea, and the full on rawk tonez, but the locking nut seems un-needed to me.
