I found out my phone has a photo editor built in so I've been snapping pics of anything remotely interesting. I'll start with some pics of me... Got a bit further with the pickguard, sanded and filed it down to size. Then I attacked it with a drill and a file to make a hole for the pickup. I placed the knobs I got to see what it looks like. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/18112008011.jpg If carlberg made gu...

I've redesigned my pickguard. Rough cut it, i'll sand it to size then bevel the edge. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/17112008.jpg Routed out the body (BADLY). Needs a bit of filler to hide my fuck ups! Then grain filler and paint. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums...

Not touched it for a week! but tonight drilled the body and screwed the neck on, measured up and screwed the bridge on too. Then to make sure it's all on straight I put a couple of strings on! I'm happy! Still need to finalise my pick guard design and route the cavities for the electronics. Still ne...

I used to have some crappy humbuckered Strat copy when I was 14. That was red with a black pickguard. I had new guard made for it with a mustang style curved top. The sloppy fit meant I always had a pick wedged in behind it (for convenience), I think I repainted it too? Anyway, not all red/black gui...

It's still a bit wonky needs cutting out toward the body a bit more, no big deal... This is what it looks like clamped up and hung next to my real JS for c...

I kind of (but not quite?) followed Fran's advice... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/HPIM0187.jpg I built a little framework jig for roughing out the neck pocket. I made many passes at cutting. Here's the neck template and spacer in action. http://i53.photobucket.c...

So, I'm about half way through routing the body... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/HPIM0186.jpg I've had a few F*** ups, which i need to tidy up before I flip the whole lot over and finish routing the out line! My Hybrid Jagstang/Musicmaster THING
Here is a nice little pic of my templates. I drew around my Jagstang, basic but effective... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g45/greasermonkeyinprint/Guitars/05102008006.jpg I'm gonna use a squier mini-strat neck, which is 22.75" scale. I've got one of them cut-down 3 saddle telesaster style ...
