TR-2 pedal rehousing and True bypass switch install

Post by More Cowbell »

With alot of Help from Pen-Pen, Coffee, and Cursing, I finally rehoused my boss TR-2 Tremelo that was modded earlier in its life and wired up a True Bypass Switch!!!!! I gutted the old box and used it as a template to make my holes with a drill, and since the box is the same dementions I can be sure that the everything will fit if I keep them in the same spots as a stock boss pedal. This is my first attempt at rehousing, that part was fun. Wiring...thats another story. Here is basically how I wired up my switch to the stock boss board.

And a few pics of the work in progress...

Good effort. You did a good job tackling the square DC socket as well. I'm lazy and go for the round kind.

Have you notice the difference bypass wise?

Yeah, Yeah...I was referring to the Insurance Commercials from Gieko that say So easy a caveman can do it. If you haven't seen them search for it on google.

I need to name this thing so I can design the top of it...

I was thinking maybe FORCE ACTION TREMOLO

That looks fantastic, you did a great job with that Cowbell. Congrats!

I personally think TREMOLOHNOES! is the greatest name that could be concieved.

HAHAH, OT but still Amy won't post it so I will, I don't know how it happened but my two year old daughter now uses "oh noes!" on a regular basis. Today she made up a song that goes, "I'm so sorry mr frog, I want wanna wanna RAWK!!" Sorry for the derail, just had to get that out and didn't want to make a whole new thread about it.

just put a picture on it, like Mr. Sparkle.

ps. i think the top two knobs should be changed for the kind on Fuzz Factory pedals, but the small one should stay.
