Squier Sonic Telecaster

Post by izodiak »

Hi ! Im a long time follower short-scale and Ive had a fun year this year. And wanted to get a guitar.
Was thinking about something cheap and change pickups etc.
And Ill sound really lame because I really started to like the colors of the new Squier Sonic series.

Especially the Squier Sonic Telecaster and Mustang (the blue ones)

What do You think about them ?

I was thinking of swapping the pickups for the tele (to the Fender Vintera 50 Vintage tele pups).
And watched the videos and it seems pretty nice quality instrument.
Just wanted to hear Your thoughts.
Or just get the Harley Benton tele... :////

(I already have a Fender MIM Deluxe Players Strat and a Gretsch 5622, so this would be a "cheaper" instrument)

First of all welcome back. Sorry I looked at this 2 weeks later.

I'm at the point that pickup swaping is stupid. I got so much garbage n shit going on after you could put Optimus Primes arm under there with a bar magnet and 2 wires coming off it and I'll dial in the same exact shit tone that I get with this SDJB

The last 2 years these are my 1 and 2.

An Amazon 120$ DC copy and a budget Gretch that has better fretwork than any fender I have ever played. And I got fenders worth 1000s of dollars at this point. All I play is these 2 guitars

I watched videos and "horrible ceramic pickups" sound quite nice.
So I almost bought the guitar, but instead I got an decent amp. (No laughing) Fender Pro Junior (se?), and it made
all my guitars come alive (--:
Maybe just next step is a surfybear in my consumerism journey.

Ok, then.. my weird mind.
I have two electric guitars (Fender Strat and the Gretsch) and I’m doing more and more working at my home(?) studio (not a pro and don’t earn money trough my petite projects).
My idea was to get a bass.. Mainly use synth and guitars, “ethnic” drums now.. no other instruments.

And this Squier Sonic series has got me hooked (because of the colors, if that’s allowed) and I thought as my first bass maybe I should get the short scale Squier Sonic Bronco. (update : read the thread on them and I’m getting one)

Anyone has some experience with them (update: missed the thread) ?
In Latvia stores I haven’t seen them, so just judging by the videos they seem good for a first try @ bass land.

Really like the Pro Junior.
I had an VOX AC4 I needed to sell (was quite nice amp), and got a Fender Champion as a replacement (don’t like it too much). So this was a really nice step up from those amps.
