This is, without a doubt, the statickiest record I've ever bought. Took a good ten minutes getting it out of the sleeve.

Yes, I’ve never had one stuck that hard in its sleeve before.

Yeah, sorry about that haha. In a way I'm glad it wasn't just my copy though! No idea how those inner sleeves have ended up with so much friction.

Glad you're enjoying it anyway, fellas.

Images of Freddy, in the warehouse, a gleeful, evil chuckle with each record that he gives a big rub on his wooly jumper before packing.

Great album. Going to give it a while to make sure the neighbours are definitely out of bed before giving it another blast today.

Really fucking enjoying this record, Freddy. It pulls in way more colours and moods than anything Thank have done previously, all of which stands to make the syrupy stuff sweeter, and raucous stuff raucouser.

Perhaps Today might be my fave at the moment; there's so much going on there (including honest-to-gosh hooks), although I am annoyed that the Doghands song I've already written about the Heaven's Gate cult seems like I'm biting your steez. I AM NOT, I'VE GOT TIMESTAMPED DEMOS TO PROVE IT.

Top class, mate; would be amazed if this doesn't lead to some massive things.

Thanks Andy, that means a lot! I think 'Perhaps Today' might be my favourite too. Need to bring it back into the live rotation actually, for whatever reason I don't think we've played it out since like July.

I won't hold the Heavens Gate tune against you, don't worry.

It's a funny one re: "big things", from my perspective this feels like a massive step up from the previous album, but so far it hasn't been latched onto by radio etc in quite the same way. I suppose time will tell!

Here's a longer version of the Damaged Goods session featuring not one but three songs!
