I peed a little bit when the guy was doing the rough cuts of the body on the bandsaw.

I love these videos, like the tours of the factory, makes me smile that there’s so much still done by hand.

That Jazzmaster looks brilliant.

But: That's just a factory built guitar. It's probably brilliant. The thing I love about Leo Fender's designs is that they could be brilliant instruments that, thanks to the design, could be built by factory workers. And still end up being better than the instruments built by luthiers or other specialists. I love this.

That's what I see here. Lots of people who are really good at their part of the production line.

I reckon Custom Shop should mean built by a luthier, or a team of luthiers. I suppose I don't really know what this means. Everyone in this video is someone who makes a fretted instrument, and they all seem to be really fucking good at their job. So I suppose they are luthiers by any definition I could point to.
