They certainly are nice to turn. worried they might get in the way a bit though.

Thoughts on spraying the tremolo black?
Depends whether you like the aesthetic when the paint chips, which it will, very easily. I wouldn't paint it, personally.

i loved it but the sounds around 18 mins are lovely, what were you using.

also at the beginning I was wondering why it was sounding a bit bright and clean and wondered if it was due to the neck but then when you mentioned the pickups being single coils and not JM pickups it all made sense.

Cosmetically you've made something that looks amazing and when you get the new pickups will sound creamier

Its just one of the synths on the m9 through a fuzz I think. at the end I sample a bit of it with banana effects mandala then mangle it.

The styling is great. I love that neck with the blacked out look. The silver in the grain is a genius touch.

I need your ears.

I received some new Jazzmaster pickups from Toltec. These looked much better and like Jazzmaster pickups. Have installed them and while I like the sound they are not a million miles different from my Jaguar to my ears.
Its ages since I played a Jazzmaster vs a Jaguar so not 100% sure how much the Aluminium neck and scratcher are adding to the highs on Jazzmaster.

What do you think?

Can't really help you Hurb as I've never had a Jazzy with "traditional" pickups in it so not sure first hand how they should sound. But, I think that these do sound really good. As you say, you're probably getting a bit more high end from the pickguard/neck, but it does still sound warmer than the Jag and there's a decent amount of difference listening on my monitor speakers imo.

Finally watched this. This might be one of my favourite guitars we've seen on here. Such a cool, interesting guitar.

thank you guys! I am very proud of how it turned out and I finally have a jazzmaster again(albeit an odd one) after years of not so that makes me happy.

I will try and take some pretty pictures of it and post them here as you cant see it properly in the video and my belly is also probably quite distracting.

The guitar came out amazing. I love the black pick guard with the Jaguar Switches. It gives it a unique touch.

My J Mascis JM stock pickups were nothing more than single coils wrapped in JM bobbins. (standard for Japanese Fender JMs).

Squier FSR Sparkle Jaguar | Squier CV Mustang |1971 Fender Bronco| Baja Telecaster |
