What are the neck pickupS in the JM ?

They're both just stock Squier VM JM pickups; I managed to a second set for mad cheap and just wanted something less quacky-honky in the bridge, with similar output to the neck position, so ...

I just ordered that Q set from Reverb, looking forward to having my #1 be more flexible. Will probably put a push-pull in, rather than adding a new switch or repurposing the rhythm circuit (even though I only really use it as a mute).

on the vintage ones, how many of those left the early days factory with neck in bridge, bridge in neck etc, 'oh this one sounds different, i like this' because of those little 'errors'.

I read that in the ooooold days, both pickups came from the same bin, so they were literally identical?
