Guess what? £99 a pedal is not "affordable"

Sorry, every time I see JHS I think John Hornby Skewes, music gear supplier from back in the day.

Iw as about to post that I always think of JHS as being a super cheap brand, when they're not. I wonder if that's why.

My first guitar tuner was a JHS one (not the American boutique guy).

Apart from huge swathes of people across the effects industry. And, indirectly, all the people affected by the church he subscribes to's version of faith. Fuck this guy.

And he'll have so knowingly nicked JHS from John Hornby Skewes - he's banged on about Tonebenders enough to know what he's doing. Sports Direct brand ethics meets boutique prices.

I like the show, which is made to plug his own stuff, but I like the show. He's probably what people say he is and if he rips someone else's designs, fuck him. But then again all builders rip original/classic designs, don't they? I rarely hear about new completely original circuits for overdrives for example, all of them are modifications of the existing circuits, so where to draw the line? Is he still with this church? If not, does he have the right to start anything legit or he's blacklisted for life now? He employs people after all and that's good to me

About JHS, I think he started putting these letters on the pedals that he modded for people, which was how he started, long before there were tons of info on the internet about anything and he probably didn't go for the resemblance with the British JHS

With that being said, 99 bucks is a boutique price to me, there's nothing affordable about it, so fuck him (and the price is probably driven by the fact that he employs people domestically, so go figure)

They're still around, I think the Vintage brand is theirs.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Well this thread took an unexpected turn! I guess I didn't know much about the guy beyond finding his videos recently...

If he rips designs exactly or with minor tweaks, then fuck him. He's probably paying shitty salaries as well. Still, I like the show
