There are too many guitars now. Just gonna stick to buying old Yamahas and Ovations.

Do you have a Breadwinner or a Deacon?

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

They can't get the black scratch marks in a thousand years.

What is the wiring in this Squier? Is it the same as in original Esquiers? I've heard, which might be not true, that original Esquiers also had differently wound pickups than regular Broadcasters/Tels had, to give that only bridge pickup more mid and low range oomph and that country players liked to replace bridge pickups in their Teles with the ones taken from Esquiers

I just have a Tornado right now but there’s a nice UKII at the local GC I’m waiting for the price to drop on. Also always looking for the right deal on a Preacher. I had a Viper for a while which was great but ultimately not my thing. I never really dug the Breadwinner/Deacon shape and last I looked the prices were too high anyway.

Weird choice, given that Audioslave aren't a thing and Morello is more associated with RATM. I suppose the strats he plays in RATM are Kramers or something though. All of the Drop-D stuff was done on a Mexican Tele, but I suppose you don't think Telecaster when you think Tom Morello?
Morello's Tele is actually an MIA Standard, not MIM. They initially made the affordable Standard Telecaster in America (1982-1986) before Mexico, so it predates both the American Standard (1988) and Mexican Standard (1991) lines but is a more equivalent catalog item to the latter.

And I imagine they did the Soul Power Strat because it's a contemporary/custom Fender guitar they could charge a buttload for. It also doesn't bear the name of a Peruvian communist organization which the US, EU and Canada classified as terrorist, which may be deemed a bit too polarizing for market mainly in those 3 areas of the world.

Do you think? When I think of RATM I think 'Killing in the name' and Tom with his Telecaster.
