Not going to lie. That guitar is fucking amazing.
That looks like one of those fake Chinese Gretsches, even has the same type of fingerboard markers.

Have no idea who that is either.
That'll be Richard O'Brien, writer/performer of The Rocky Horror Show and original presenter of The Crystal Maze.

And if you know who Richard O'Brien is, you know that he's the only person fabulous enough to be able to legitimately play that guitar.

My name is Dave Gartland. We Emigrated from the South West of England in November 2008.
I am a sheet metal worker by trade and have numerous welding qualifications which included Nuclear welding to 100% xray standard....The name Ali Kat seemed to be a kool name, as Ali is the short term for Aluminium, and from day one, these Kool Katz were going to stand out in a crowd....SO... I was thinking.. if I am sourcing old 50s guitar parts, why not make a 50s style car guitar, this Led to the First Aluminium 57 Chevy Guitar, which THEN... I needed to make a guitar with Tail Lights, so came the first ever 59 Caddy Guitar with working lights and original 59 Caddy Dash Script.
Next was The FB/EKat Holden / FJ Holden... and on it went...and now the designs are just incredible..

SICK

Fucking love Duane; so erudite for such a mean guitar player

I also love that the white of the clip-on mic makes him look like a cool vicar:

Kept thinking the same thing.

Also enjoyed the way he was the pure manifestation of the actual great musician/shit kit scenario; Blackstar amps (*spit*), ropey multifx, sounds amazing.

I tried a 68 deluxe reverb today. Sounds amazing and I love the bassman channel but it breaks up far too early. Like comically early. It does the volume knob clean up thing really well but I don’t think cleans would compete with a drummer at all. Still havent found a vibrolux but if the deluxe is anything to go by it’ll be perfect.

And it’s very very light. I was quite surprised.

I watched this whole thing a few days ago and somehow didn't even clock the Super-Sonics. I think I was stoned.

ARGH. That Super-Sonic sold before I managed to shift my Orange head. Normally I could manage being a couple of hundred quid down in the meantime, but unexpected car expenses have fucked that for this month. Hopefully something else good will come up whenever I manage to get rid of this bloody Orange... ha.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Plenty of amps I can borrow down at the practice space, George. You won't stop me that easily!

For anyone interested in how this worked out, I'm buying a Peavey Classic 50 4x10 off a bloke in Sheffield. Hopefully collecting it tomorrow!
