Thought I'd share a recent discovery. I bought a Neck Check notched straightedge for a project -- it's the standard one that has full Fender scale on one side and Gibson scale on the other. Out of curiosity, I tried it on a Mustang, and it works perfectly -- I just used the Fender side and slipped the first notch in the Neck Check over the nut of the Mustang. Pushing my luck, I tried the same thing on a Squier Mini, using the second notch of the Neck Check over the nut. That one worked, too -- I just had to widen that notch just a hair with a file in order to slip it over.
