LOOK AT THEM SEXY CONTOURS!
Only thing that is missing is he's adding a screw hole between the pickups, what the original jag-stang was lacking and the humbucker mounting holes. I know the kurtz mustang has it right to the body but I like the look and mount to the pickguard.

That looks so good. I definitely want one too.

Cooterfinger's work looks like it was done at the factory. 8)

Is the pickguard modeled after and original Jag-stang or Mustang guard? The lower horn reminds me of a Jag-stang guard the way it drops down more.

Hell yeah it does. He's a pro and no it's modeled after my favorite setup, which i guess is the kurt cobain mustang pickguard but without the phase switches, and a toggle plus the humbucker mounted to the pickguard.

That looks brilliant. I think Kurt would have preferred this for sure.

Man, I want one. Nice job getting moving on this, I think it's actually coming out a little nicer and more balanced looking than the photoshop, which was intriguing already.

I think Kurt would have preferred not to be dead or have kids making assumptions about what he wanted and living their lives according to such assumptions, but there you go.

Aside from that, this guitar looks killer.

I wouldnt recommend any higer pots than 500k ohm. I use them in all of my guitars except for 2 with 250. All my dimarzio pickups sound great with 500 k. 1 meg is to much it will turn your clean sound into totally overdrive. Youre getting good sustain for all kind of styles with 500k. And if youre putting single coils to into the guitar i would avoid 1 meg.

Thanks guys. I am putting 2 500K fender pots in it by the way. The body is jaguar thickness 1 3/4. It feels really chunky like a cyclone at the moment. But I think it will feel nicer once it's all painted. At least this Jag-Stang has contours lol :p

I think you should put a Jag vol/tone control plate on there... or slight modified one i.e. file to size.

That would work much better I reckon, otherwise... looks fantastic !!

Yeah, put the jag vol and tone knobs there instead of the plastic mustang ones!
