For all non-guitar instruments; mandolins, synths, kazoos, and anything else musical that doesn't fit elsewhere.

Moog Filtatron for iOS (iPhone/iPod touch)...

Post by avj »

For anyone with an iOS device (iPhone or iPod touch), check this teaser out. $4.99 USD and it'll be available Oct 18.

I think it looks pretty neat.
Moog Press Release wrote:Moog Music today announced Filtatron, a real-time audio effects engine and powerful studio tool coming soon for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The heart of the Filtatron is a finely-modeled Moog Ladder Filter, the same filter that gives Moog instruments their warm, thick character. It musically shapes the sounds supplied by the Filtatron’s on-board oscillator, sampler and line/microphone input.

"I play the iPhone"

I just noticed there's a reacTable app. FFFUUU-

Although i suspect one would really need an iphone 4 to make best use of it. I'm not going to shell out £5.99 to find out it runs like shit on my creaky old 3g.

Yeah! That, this and the ReBirth app seem like good excuses to own an iOS device.

There's also a Korg iElectribe app, but I believe it's only for the iPad because of the complex layout.

Fuck yeah, bro. I scored an extra iphone, and rather than let it wait for my other one to break, Im using that shit as an instrument. The Moog thing looks like it's going to be a pretty serious part of that. Actually, now that Im using the iphone fo rmore music, I wish I had an ipad. Bigger working surface and whatnot.
