I don't know how he did it. His proportions must be off.

Same relative height as when I'm sitting. So the strap is on whether I'm sitting or standing, and the guitar is at the same height in both cases.

This is absolutely exactly what I do. When I was much younger -- before I figured this method out -- I always wondered why I could play so much easier while sitting down. Now, if I happen to get a new strap, I just sit down with the guitar, adjust the strap, and stand up. If the guitar moves downward on me, I tighten the strap up a bit and sit down/stand up again.

I've found this to be the most comfortable position, by far.

Normally a comfortable waist height (the next pickup being about where my belt buckle is) but recently I’ve been playing more technical, single-note, stuff and using my girlfriend’s old Yamaha strat, which I find myself playing much higher.

It’s nice. You get to attack the strings for a different angle.

I sling really low. Almost as low as the strap will go but a little higher. Personally I like the feel and would rather look like Krist Novoselic than Paul McCartney (both great bassists) when I play. I play guitar slightly higher than bass, but I also usually use a duct tape strap so I can't really change the length.

Man, now I will have Anti Flag in my head for at least the rest of the day.

I play probably just a little lower than McCartney height but not by a whole lot. It depends on the guitar though. I like being able to reach as much as I can. Not that I am really a proficient guitarist by any means.
