aparently the first paisley job was a jaguar. the story (as i remember it) was, a guy had a 62, covered it in paisley paper and then in 65 or so sent it back to the factory for some work, they sent him an lpb jaguar and kept his paisley, and after a few letters he got his guitar back but by that point they released a paisley tele based around his jag, i think the first paisley was a tele in 68 or so, correct me if i am wrong, im sure that im not the only one that heard this story.

If I know WTR, then he is going to prove it's not a shop by showing us the actual guitar that he just purchased from ebay or a shop, among 2-3 other guitars in the lineup from his current collection, explaining that he just sold one of his teles to fund it.

No, it's from the guitar builder at OSG. I promise.

I also promise they are not building them in japan.

eeuuuurgghhhh

if hendrix would still be alive today and would've turned into one of those 'used to be cool now wanker rockers like rolling stones' he would play this

my friend has a pink paisly tele and when i first saw it in person i thought it actually looked really nice with the see through pg etc and glossy neck, that guitar suits her so well too. but this jag is fucking horrible.

guard is transparent material with the same origami paper used on the body matched to the body design and stuck under the clear guard. Both body and guard are then bursetd with paint round the edges. Looks cool to me and pretty inventive. It's by that Curtis Novak chap who does well regarded pickups.

i don't like teles looks-wise but i've played it (upside down mind you) and it's nice, real smooth neck and the paisly didn't bother me that much

aye, i must have fried a brain circuit when i posted that.

*punches self in face*

still, it's good that the pattern under the guard follows the one on the body.
