I needed to change the strings on 2 Jags, so i took some pics of different pickguards on sunburst and CAR.

mint guard, looks pretty good but the white pickups kinda clash.

brown tort. this is the guard that stays on this guitar.

Dude I had a mint guard on my sunburst Jag for ages and loved it. I'll try and dig up a photo for you if you still want one. It looks creamy in most lights but still works anyway.

I always liked sunburst strats with mint guards and yellowed pickups.

Maybe that's just me.

hahaha the fact they can even call that tort is retarded.

call it like "speckled red" or something.

I've got a mint guard for my sunburst Jag that I keep meaning to put on - it's got no pup holes in it (I ordered it this way as my Jag has got P90s), so I need to go to work with the dremmel.

This thread made me finally get my ass in gear and sort out my mint Jag guard.
I freehanded the pup holes with a dremel, so they're not totally snug...but they will do.
Took quite a bit of adjustment around the neck pocket/control plates to get it to fit, but all done now.
Result isn't bad. Don't think I like it as much as the tort, but it's certainly not offensive.
