it's brilliant. it's a pukka sounding leslie pedal, the ramping and tone is spot on. running it in stereo gives you the "hard pushed to tell the difference" proper effect of the rotors and spread. the only thing i think it could with do with is a level control as it dips in volume a little when on and a blend to mix a little dry signal in. a lot of leslie tones on record and live are a blend of the straight amp sound and the leslie. i might try running an splitter to blend the dry and the leslie sound.

Thanks! Not entirely sold on the Power Fuzz Wah yet. I was hoping for a more drastic envelope on the wah than I think it gives, and the fuzz bit isn't terribly important to me since I've already got a couple dirt pedals in the chain. BUT I just got it yesterday and haven't played it at practice in a loud setting; so we'll see.

Sweet rig dots - what's the dinky blue pedal on the top left? Forgotten the name of the company, but I like their looper...
While I'm here, here's my "Home alone for the weekend so drag gear downstairs" rig du jour:

MJT tele > BYOC Superfuzz (SO good) > Fredric Utility Perk (SO SO good) > Soul Food > Superego with a Nobels trem in the loop > El Capistan (MY FAVOURITE PEDAL AND I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY) > PRRI.
LURKING BEHIND THE SCENES: Phase 45, about to replace the trem in the Superego loop. Also our new kitten Purdy HIYA PURDY.

that's a hotone choir chorus pedal. if all you need is a mono chorus that gives you the basics (speed, depth, and level), it's great for that.
dig that shell pank!

pretty sure this was my bad in trying to share too much power, though i still need to get everything connected properly at full volume before i will know for sure. i didn't have the x4 at rehearsal last week, but i thought i had everything sorted before the gig with all the pedals rightly powered, but shit went sideways after a couple minutes. i may need to pull the modded muff until i can get a bigger psu as that's the only pedal that i currently don't have an immediate need for. it needs some repair anyway...singlepup wrote:Love the amp, love the guitar, and I want to love that Flashback X4 too. What's the deal with it?
Forgot you had a Capistan - I want one! And a Flint...benecol wrote:Sweet rig dots - what's the dinky blue pedal on the top left? Forgotten the name of the company, but I like their looper...

Long time no post (lazy AF), but made a picture of my current rig as I wanted to share my happiness, especially with the JM4 i picked up last Sunday.
Already switched the Greenback out for a Blue Bulldog (got it for cheap).

Signal chain: Tuner > Diamond Compressor > 1976 LPB-2 (found this at a flea market) > Menatone Foxy Brown OD > Way Huge Aqua-Puss > Way Huge blue hippo Chorus > Malekko Bright 300 Delay
Guitars ATM are a Gibson Custom Shop LP Special 1960RI and my trusted 1978 Mustang (which I posted aaaaages ago, can post pics if smbd wants to see this one again)…
Thinking of switching from lurking to posting again, haha.
