another gig this weekend, went over pretty good. figured i would dumb it down a little for this one since it was a 4 song thing, kinda lame but it was still fun
Image
did the carbon copy over the memory boy this time for because the delays of the carbon copy cease after it is bypassed, while the memory boy continues to delay even if it is bypassed. that was causing problems when i had it self oscillating, bypassed it, and engage it and hear that it was going bananas and scared the hell out of people. rock and roll
ALSO, last gig was played through our frontman's father's bassman! sounded pretty sweet and loved the box of cake's boost [SHO] that was the majority of my sound.
have a tube amp in my sights btw, in the process of saving. HINT, its a 50ish watt 1x12

nothing exciting has changed, but i finally got round to repairing my kinsman board.
the fabric base of these boards is shit, it comes away when you gently lift a pedal off. after sticking it down twice with carpet adhesive, i came up with a better solution.

i cut a 12mm thick piece of mdf to the size of the base and secured it with no more nails. it's a very tight fit, so the no more nails is just there for extra security. then i cut and tacked/glued a carpet tile to the top. now the pedals will not move and the fabric wont lift off. recommend this to people like noirie who have this same pedalboard.

That'll add a lot of structural integrity to it also, it can be quite flimsy. Nicely done.

erm..... i didn't measure as such. the mdf was already the width of the inside of the board. just roughly marked the edge of the top and cut. i can measure it later if you like

my future father in law has loads of tools and wood etc, so i got the MDF from him for free. carpet tiles were from work, staff discount for the win. only needed one, so returning the other tomorrow.

missed having some delay on the board. now i have the space for it, i can put the reel echo on the board. it's the only other delay pedal i have that'll go over 300ms.

Cheers. Bought it for £200 like 2 years back. I'm pretty much set for life ampwise.

You use a JC120 right? I remember talking to you and Euan about these amps at doogfest.
