Haha yeah, got it out from under the bed last week. I needs a lot of work! Truss rod needs adjusting, the strings are about 3 miles away from the frets. Ideally I’d like to get a 24 Fender neck and route the neck pocket. Not sure I’ll ever do it though.

What a difference a year makes.....lots of stuff came and went. The Yamaha YC-30 is gone, as is the Rick bass and Vox amp. The Daisy is still for sale, I’m no longer borrowing the pink Tele. I also flipped a Fender Champion 30, a Blues Jr and got rid of some cheap keyboards.

New stuff is a $25 Cort Bass with a twisted neck I bought yesterday and converted to fretless, a Bronco bass, Silvertone Bobkat, Danophobe DC3 and Yamaha SA-80t. I also picked up a bunch of new keyboards now, Firstman FO999s organ, CZ-5000 and Nord Electro 2. Also finally have a new PA system (Fender Passport Venue) and playing with a new band down here again.

I’ve had a couple of goes since that post about it and have come to the conclusion that the neck is fucked unfortunately. Truss rod is as tight as it can go now and there’s still a pretty big bow, which sucks. Maybe someone with more skills than me could fix it, but it’s definitely not worth me paying someone to do that. Fuck Aug.

Bowed forward?

Such a shame. If you were closer I would be happy to look at for you. Could maybe clamp it straight?

Yeah bowed forward. I might clamp it at some point, it’s on the list of things to do. Am putting together a jazzy partscaster at the moment so it’ll be a while.

Cheers mate, appreciate it. I might just take you up on that when the girls go back to school in a couple of weeks.

It’s 24. Been looking out for a lefty squier shortscale but no joy yet. Plus that would mean routing the neck pocket too.
