Rescued my Hagstrom I from my mum's house. Lovely little guitar, in quite a rare colour (lilac). I don't play it as much as I should because it's virtually unmarked and feels a bit fragile.

The Hondo II pro copy of a Fender Lead II - with a bit of shortscale history (I had to remove mustang knobs and aftermarket pickup covers without holes - haha!) Really like this guitar, excellent build quality and pickups, 25" scale. I use it for testing pedals so it get played every day.

Nah one is a coil split and the other is a phase reversal.

There was one of those on eBay last week, was considering buying it (as another Will Sergeant related buy) but realised I didn't have the cash on hand... it didn't sell!!!

I've always liked that odd shaped guild model, a bloke in a local band plays one as his main guitar.

It's a Guild S-70. S-60's, S-65's and S-300's are all the same shape, just different pickup configurations. There's an S-60 on eBay for £700 just now. A bit steep in my opinion. Great, really well made guitars though.

l-r: 70s Ibanez Ric 4001/4003 copy, 1966 Hagstrom II, 70s-00s parts Tele Custom (body is 70s Ibanez, neck 04 Squier, with some teisco and AVRI parts as well), 60s Teisco Parlor Acoustic, strung with ball end nylon strings.

After doing the usual buy/sell/repeat, that's what I've ended with, and I'm fully satisfied. The only other thing I might try and score would be another beat up Hag II (really want a scumburst), only because they're a bit harder to come by and it wouldn't hurt to have a back up.

Man that is a BEAUTIFUL collection. Love the look of that Ibanez bass and Hag II next to each other.

thanks! The one thing that bugs me is the lack of logos on both of them. I'll be picking up a NOS decal for the hagstrom shortly, but finding a Ibanez ric truss rod cover would be a rather difficult task.

The old Arias with the active boosts and stuff were the "TS" models. A few of them have shown up on ebay recently from Japanese sellers. One day I'll have the cash for one.

Yeah the boost circuit in em sounds great. A mate has a Westone Thunder III with this active boost/eq. The guitar itself is really nice too.

I've got a couple of 'new' guitars. I've owned the '73 Hagstrom Swede for almost a couple of years now, but only had it in my possession for a few weeks of that as it was off having the neck binding redone (by a luthier friend as a freebie, so I'm not fussed at the timescale). A detail shot follows. His site is Setchell Guitars, but it's not updated much at the moment. This Danelectro DC-3 (from the superior and less morally reprehensible 90s reissues) is a replacement for exactly the same guitar I had owned until a couple of years ago and missed somewhat. It was a bargain on ebay on account of the seller living in the middle of nowhere and wanting the buyer to collect.
