I remember seeing that in the Ikebe catalog and thinking "meh...moustache-touting TDPRI fare". However, yours looks so much hotter in a real-world shot.

Judging by the unique body/binding pairing, I'd definitely shake (not stir) that thing.

White with mint guard tele is a fave combination - black binding looks amazing on it!

the white one is getting one of those single coil adapter rings and probably a american std strat pickup. Possibly a Tele bridge pu if it will fit.

Like an out-of-phase vowel-like sound. Not sure if the polarity is right with the dimarzio, its an old 70s model without adjustable pole pieces so i was'nt sure which way it should fitted and if it makes a difference anyway.
Switching between the two is really well balanced, the dimarzio is'nt particularly high output, its basically a hot PAF so the cleans a very nice.

not one Tele, but THREE Teles

Haze is the Telemaster. How you liking the WRHB? Have you gotten to try it out yet? The one I put in the Black Jaguar sounds heavenly.

When will we get a demo of the Pink-stang?

Byooty, I love high contrast binding or trimming, jogged my memory of this Youtube Tom Morello geek's Strat which I also love (minus the goofy lettering):

see, i'm tempted to think this is a myth, as my coronado has hotter pickups than any other vintage fender i've owned (and i've had quite a few now). maybe mine is some kind of circus freak.

What's it like nowadays ?? I think I went early 00's but don't think it was as good as it was back then.

Don't think any guitar shop is though really !!

I just remember them hanging guitars really really high, and this jazzy was in the top corner.

it's moved a couple of times, it's now on the southside. i bought my guitar in 2004 (i think) and they didn't have much vintage stuff that i could see, though they had a jagmaster and a japanese compstang that were definitely second hand... they also had one of the mogwai big muffs that i'm kicking myself i didn't buy. they don't do much in the way of guitars now at all, more brass/woodwind and drum stuff from what i've seen.

Seems likely. Mine is whisper quiet. Also a 66.

now i'm wondering if a previous owner has had mine rewound or something. it's the only coronado i've ever played so i've nothing to compare it to.

Mine is stock and its pup is comparible to my other vintage stuff as far as output goes. The difference in sound is less bitey to my ears. you guys have the silver or black pups?

Not much changed for me:
► Show Spoiler
There's the LaPatrie and the '57 Dano. The others are a 1915 Lange tenor banjo with nylon strings and an SX 335. I just fixed the SX up so it can sub for the Dano if need be - the bridge PUP is just for show; it's wired Neck-only with a kill switch. Actually sounds quite good.
