IIRC it was Aug more than DDD, and the answer is alcohol and misogyny.

I said this in another thread a while ago, I don't remember which, but the Noho neck is bowed and can't be fixed by the truss rod as that's as tight as it will go. I thought about fixing it, and Hurb offered to take a lok at it, but I never really loved the neck profile anyway, it's much too flat on the back - like a really skinny D. Obvious issues here, the neck pocket shape and that fact that it's virtually impossible to get a 24" left handed neck. Anyway fast forward a few months and I saw that those cheap Chinese necks on eBay now are available in 24" lefty! So I took a punt...for £51 shipped, it was worth a try. It arrived today and it's pretty good! The work seems decent, the headstock is small strat shape type - not completely accurate but who cares. The rosewood looks nice, with some interesting figuring. Frets are mostly good, they are nicely seated, but there are a couple of sharp ends that need sorting out. It's nicely sanded and on the face of it doesn't seem to have anything particularly wrong with it. Oh, apart from the fact the side dots are on the bottom  I guess they just have a bunch of pre-prepared right handed fretboards. No biggie.

So the plan is to route out the neck pocket, get some tuners, a neck plate, sort out the fret ends, roll the fretboard and finish the neck. Will probably start a project thread when I get started...it may take some time

I've had only bad luck with cheap Chinese necks that I ordered from Aliexpress. Two came with not working trussrods, I sold one as it is and the other I threw into a dumpster being in a bad mood. One more came slightly twisted but upon sitting on my desk for two weeks became completely twisted out of its normal shape. I guess they are using wood which isn't properly dried. I got a partial refund because I thought I could live with a slight twist and now I have no fucking idea what to do with it. I ordered the fourth neck and it also came a tad twisted. At this point I have no wish to deal with any of it. I'll probably fucking burn them or use as a club to murder stray cats, pigeons, old people and baby otters.

The project looks super fun. I hope your neck is of better quality than mine are and will look forward to see it completed

That's gonna look great with that neck!

I was thinking "matching orange headstock" too, but then saw "matching WHITE headstock" in my mind's eye, and, well, it looks great.

It's whether you'd end up fouling the truss rod.
