Fender Mustang Ebay Scam

Post by astro »

Check out this scam artist.

He lists a 65 Mustang RI for the buy it now price of $300 Canadian dollars (despite being in Spain), but he lists his shipping costs as $1200.

Maybe he hand delivers it, but only flies first class?

Here's the link here.

I'm pretty sure that picture is originally from a different auction, too. I remember seeing it a while back, I remembered it because for some reason the bridge has three barrel saddles like a duo-sonic or a musicmaster.

Plus all his feedback is as a buyer...

Yeah, I saw that too. Look at THIS ONE that is ending in 12 hours. I can't believe there is a bid on it.

I didn't even notice the bridge! Wooooo That is goofy. that is some type of mustang copy.

I've shipped to Italy recently for under $100 bucks. The most expensive place I shipped to was australia and that cost nearly $800. Anywhere is Europe is almost always under $100 for a guitar even in a case.

okay, so ebay cancelled the link rod posted, but the other one is still going. the tip-off to me was indeed the three bridge saddle configuration. i've never seen a from-the-factory mustang in that configuration.

It looks like the same person that was bidding on the cancelled auction is now bidding again.
Either they are in on it together some how or the bidder is dumber than the seller.
