Finished Bronco Jr w/black headstock w/pics

Post by mickie08 »

Here it is. Finally got the grounding sorted out (bad input jack) and painted the headstock. I did not gloss the neck, but used an oil finish on it. It is really smooth and clean feeling.

Still would like a fender Bronco Jr sticker but not going to mess with it I think.

Schaller straplocks, fender duo bridge, GFS p90, orange drop cap and 500 meg pots.

Strung with D'addario 11's

That looks stunning. One of the best looking guitars I've seen in a while. Great work.

honestly, I will have to let you know later. It sounds pretty good, but I had a grounding issue that I just got fixed tonight (bad input jack) so it was noisy as hell. I think that is fixed. I will use it at practice Tue night and send back my report.

Bronco Jr? How is this not like a Musicmaster Jr. or Mustang Jr. ? I mean you don't use a Bronco Bridge, so what makes this Bronco? Not trying to be a pain, just thinking I missed something.

It could be either one I guess. Originally I was gonna make a bronco and then decided to change the pup configuration to a LP jr setup. Hence Bronco Jr. It cold be musicmaster, mustand, or duo Jr in reality.

I say give it a full bronco pickgaurd in Black! That would make it more Bronco-esc.

honestly i think in this senario the lil jr styled guard suits it the best, the full on bronco guard would be too much i think.
and besides it would cover up all that pretty wood

I think the lil guard looks good too. I made a simular one on a gold mustang body for a guy. I think it looks very cool. My favorite pickgaurd is the bronco pickgaurd though. But hey, it's not my guitar.....
