Jackmaster Bass and Birthdaycaster

Post by light rail coyote »

2 new projects in the works.
I'm teaching my brother how to build a body. He's making a Jazzy bodied bass, and I'm making a telecaster for my boss's birthday. Half of the parts for it are going to be scavaged from his parts bin in the shop , and I stole the poor abused Van Halenized tele to make the template.

Bitchin! I wish a co-worker would make me a guitar. Hell, bring me picks once in a while.

That EVH Tele needs to be sanded and put into the woodchipper with Steve Buscemi.

hah that thing was even more horrid when we got it in. The whole body was rattlecaned black with electrival tape shit like wan halen did. The paint was so crappy though that I managed to get it all off and save the sunburst underneath.

Better be a rubbish record, no ruining a classic album to make it! It's a mith that the great musical vibes will make you better, you'll just have one less good album in your collection.

Looking good though. But the photos in the original post won't show for me :(

Or you could always just buy another copy, which would probably work out the same or less as pricey as buying a scratchplate blank..

up here i go to the Amoeba on Haight Street and Rasputin's in Campbell for records, never pay over $10 for anything (except Magical Mystery Tour with the colour booklet, was about $14). most used records are about $4. There's always Goodwill as well.

about 10 years ago i cut up a copy of the Smashing Pumpkins Pisces Iscariot vinyl and made a jag-stang pickguard out of it, it was cool cause it was see-through orange. i never used it though.

Yeah, I'd be gutted if I cut up something like that, you wanna be cutting up like old Barry White singles and shit that aren't worth anything to anyone. Maybe Bananarama, stuff people send to charity shops because they don't want anyone to know they ever had it.
