Huh. Like i haven't posted enough of this thing. :D A fokusH chineese mustang copy repainted daphne blue. Routed the body for a humbucker and instaled an Angled Epi HB in the bridge position. recut the original pickguard and added screws where the original guitar didn't have them. Also installed a jap control plate and fender amp knobs. wiring is kept original with two 2-way switches...

I traded in ALL my other standard scale guitars for these 3 new short scales.

Image

1. Little Martin w/ Custom Fretboard Dot Inlays and K&K Pickup, and Fret Dressing/Setup.
2. Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar in 3-Color Sunburst w/ New Bone Nut, larger strings, Mustang Bridge (not pictured), and Fret Dressing/Setup.
3. Squire Stratocaster Mini with new Bone Nut and Fret Dressing/Setup.

Welcome!

Really? Isn't the bone saddle more appropriate for an acoustic?

I think ANYTHING is better than the cheap plastic saddle on the Squire Mini. And the stock Jag Saddle would not accept larger strings.
That said My Luthier is an Acoustic Guitar builder and does prefer a Bone saddle. I followed his advice and am pleased. YMMV.

I spent my teens in York and my only goal was to get the heck out of there. Godspeed.

Looking at the pics, I'm pretty sure he means nut.

Saddle = NUT

The one on top clearly isn't a shortscale, but I wanted a quick size comparison.

Fender Japan MG73-CO, candy apple red. I'm skinny and I have small hands, so I'm really digging how comfortable to play the Mustang is. It's also nice to have an instrument that doesn't point at the floor when I stand up.

edit: it was labeled as "OCR" so I guess that's *old* candy apple red

Aye, nice bunch of guitars.

What do you think of the Starcaster Noisy Cat? I was quite excited when they announced them (and the Coronados for that matter) but then got a bit put off by the TOM/stop bar. Still wouldn't mind giving one a go at some point though.

Yeah I like it; it's something very different to the other three. The Chinese workmanship on the body and neck is great – definitely a step up from Indonesian Squiers. I've put 1meg pots in it as well as the Mojo WRHBs, so it's really clear and bright. You can pick these guitars up pretty cheaply on the used market nowadays too.

Moar pics of my setup:

**EDIT: Also Thanks! /EDIT

its been pretty stagnent for the past five years.. but before that i was trading a lot so i didn't really take many group shots..
i kind of regret it..

i still need to do my 24 3/4" and acoustics, and then setup my lone strat...
thats this weekends project.. those shots will end up in the other forum. for non-awesome guitars

Mine currently....separate pics

1995 Fender Jag-Stang with EMG's
Image

1997 Fender Jaguar with Cool Rails in Action
Image

1971 Fender Music Master with custom home-built bridge pickup
Image

2013 Squier VM Bass VI - Stock - my new favorite bass
Image

2010 22" Scale First Act Power gig Guitar - I mostly got it to harvest the Hex Pickup from it, or require it as a guitar MIDI controller or Synth
Image

1985 Memphis A-2TR - Most recent acquisition, a 24" scale mini-superstrat basically, done late 70's Charvel style
Image

Honorable Mention - 201x Mad Katz Fender Mustang Pro MIDI Controller (well, actually RockBand III controller, but I use it as a MIDI controller)
Recording in my (old) home studio....the new one is a lot better ( and a lot cleaner)
