The reissued silverburst finish looks like shite imo...
I agree. I prefer the vintage silverburst. They had more black around the edge of the guitar. And the clear coat aged yellow, turning the silver to a greenish color.

I see GuitarMills sells the Mustang style guitar for $185 and Jazzmaster style for $175. Wamoth sells the Mustang & Jazzmaster for $175. What do you guys normally pay for handmade Mustang & Jazzmaster guitars around here? What type of wood are they normally and how many peices?

I'm sure robert(original) wouldn't mind sharing some price info. Guitar Mill makes a decent jazzmaster body. Warmoth's will only fit warmoth's parts, which is dirty pool if you ask me. Warmoth will now do proper JM headstocks upon request now but their blocks are made to Gibson specs, guitar mill just started doing B&B necks upon request and their vintage spec.

holy crap i just saw this thread, i usually just go to the pub. That sucks about the neck pocket. I srlsly had no idea it was jacked. I would have just fixed it here at work cause we got awesome materials to do just that. Im sure robert will take care of it, his word is good.

Him or the dudes from mastodon, they've got such a variety of silverburst guitars.

Hoping for the best on this project haze.

On the LP I don't like it. Black is too flat. Had they gone with an almost black trans blue-gray it might have worked for me. The Fender has enough warm color on it to work better.
