Post by aen »

EDIT!

Fuck that kind of killswitch, it sucks. It goes BLAAAATTZ when you kill the signal.

Nice one, dewd! Doesn't it give you a "lead unplugging" noise wired like that though?

Use a SPDT momentry switch instead

L1 = Hot signal
L2 = Ground
COM = Output

This mimicks the volume pot on your guitar in the extreme settings and won't cause the fun that is the open connection sound.

I wired the 3-way toggle killswitch on my Jazzy to direct the signal to ground when in the "kill" positions.

I'm probably wrong to be honest. I just doodled on a post it note and posted it. Certainly leaving both connections open will cause buzzing.

I would say taking the kill position to ground is the more correct way to do it.

No worries, those are all useful places to put the switch and find a ground/hotline connection.

I got all motivated to put a killa in, so I brought my frankenstang into work today, I work at a guitar shop, and wired one up. It's fun to play with :D
