Studio Snaps!
Not a huge amount of in-depth gear chat to be had, but I thought some of you might be interested in these snaps from a recent Thank recording session. We've been working on a 7" to release (hopefully) early next year.
Re: Studio Snaps!
How are you enjoying the Ibanez Freddy? Does the Tele still get some use?
Re: Studio Snaps!
I too saw these on (I think) Instagram. Was particularly heartened to see The Iceman (as I think of Freddy). And his angular 70's-design guitar.

Re: Studio Snaps!
Cheers guys!
I have been known to change it up a bit in the studio. All my guitar parts on this 7" were played on the Ibanez, but on the new Beige Palace LP we recorded earlier this year I used a couple of different Teles (my pink Squier and a Japanese Fender), an Epiphone SG, a Harmony hollow body, and a Toronado (although I don't think any of the Toronado takes actually made the cut).
I'm hoping at some point Ibanez will let me have a signature guitar called The Nice Man.
Loving it! But the pink Tele still gets a lot of use as well. Before I had the Ibanez, I mainly used the pink Tele for Thank and the black Tele for Beige Palace. But I was having feedback issues playing high gain stuff with the pink Tele, and that black Tele is very beaten up at this point - by this time last year it just wasn't reliable enough to take on tour. So now the pink Tele is my live guitar for Beige Palace, and the Ibanez for Thank.NickD wrote: Wed Oct 12, 2022 8:20 am How are you enjoying the Ibanez Freddy? Does the Tele still get some use?

The Nice Man Cometh
Lovely piccies, can't wait for the drop; what's that new one with the lyrics about being "addicted to going on the computer"? Cracked me the tf up at the London show

'69' inlay on the 12th fret like Mick Thomson's 'HATE' inlay.
Ha! That's the b-side for this 7", it's called 'Dead Dog In A Ditch'.Doog wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:45 pm Lovely piccies, can't wait for the drop; what's that new one with the lyrics about being "addicted to going on the computer"? Cracked me the tf up at the London show
