Left handed CIJ Mustang pickguard

Post by kim »

I've been thinking about giving Cleo the mustang some attention, i'm a sucker for looks so pickups less of a priority...lal

The pickguard is that brown tort fender used on those CIJ ones and i think it's rather ugly as fuck.

Still i think i'd want tort on there but a nice more vintage spec one (bevel).

I know of reptile pickguards, they do custom stuff, any of you know of anyone doing that preferably in EU or UK ?

Might be going the same route for the lefty CV JM too, vintage spec lefty tort.

Get US/imperial screws in there too with some toothpick/glue help.

I'm not up for spending over €300 incl customs on a pickguard but willing to spend a fair bit still as long as it's nicely done.

I’ve bought several pickguards from Earl Pilanz: LINK. He has a huge range of colours/types. Not tried the tort, so can’t really comment on that but the ivory pearl, mint and vintage mint have been excellent. Everything is available in lefty.
