Might be new to Europe, I think we’ve had them for a year or two.
There was a US model in a similar finish, and that Squier was available in other finishes. Maybe you have them confused?

The CV Mustangs aren't new but the LPB is an FSR colour (they're usually just available in Sonic Blue and Vintage White over here). The earlier VM ones used to come in Fiesta Red too.

Although, if they're anything like the VM pickups, those covers are glued-on...

Yeah, man; not ideal. It's definitely possible to get them off (think they're just glued down the sides), but it's not a quick change for sure.
