Limited Edition MIJ Gold Jazzmaster

Post by HNB »

My wife got hired!! Thanks to all the people who wished us well. She will be working for Tacoma Boys. Took her two weeks to get a new job and she busted her ass running around doing applications and following up. Super proud of her. :)

I sold guitars to cover two months of her pay. I decided to keep half of what I raised for her in the accounts since I am not sure when she will be getting her first check, but that left me with enough to pick up a guitar to replace the four I sold for her. One of the guitars I miss the most that I have ever sold is my white Japanese Jazzmaster. I was looking online and there were a few up for sale and around $1300. (Man have they gone up.) While looking I noticed one of those limited edition ones with the gold hardware for around $1500 that was described as mint condition. I sent the guy a message to make sure there were not any neck pocket cracks and he said the guitar is 100% clean and sent me pictures. Guitar is now on the way. I am pretty excited. From what I read, there were like 330 of these made? The buzz stop is coming off and I will add some gold dual design strap buttons and it will be ready to rock! I had purchased a gold jag like this a ways back and it arrived with like an inch of paint missing on the lower edge that wasn't disclosed so I sent it back. Very pumped to get it. Here are the listing pictures for now.

T'was Kevin Carter by Manic Street Preachers. The singer is playing your Jazzmaster in the video.

Ah ok. Them don't seem super common. Was impressed on how well taken care of this one was.

Dang I went to YouTube and couldn't find that video for the song.

I remember when those were released (1994!) - bought a guitar magazine with them both on the cover.

Bonusfact: all the gold hardware Jag/JMs were basswood.

Mainly glad to hear that your wife has a new job though x

I think I had the same magazine.

Congrats to Mrs HNB. Pleased to hear she's got something sorted.

Yeah, I noticed the buzzstop is not gold-plated. Should have taken a couple hundred off for that.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Buzzstops are fucking terrible. Either man up or shim the neck.

my buddy matt had the 94 limited edition jaguar sometime in 1995-6ish.

he never played the fucking thing. it just sat in its case. i think he tried doing something with the truss rod and fucked up the neck.

then he traded it in for a blue PRS with all that shitty dragon inlay

AND ON THAT DAY MY HATRED FOR PRS WAS BORN. 4 WHOLE YEARS BEFORE CREED
