They were using a Behringer X32 for monitors, so I was talking up their monitor engineer about it and then realized that it was the lead singer dude. He just sets it up and mixes his own stuff from his ipad/tablet. They were pretty tight.

GAK has demos of both versions of the guitar.

Bridge pickup doesn't sound strong enough to mix well with the tron neck, so maybe investing in buying a hot tele bridge pickup is the way to go with these bigsby cabronitas?
just wishing out loud here...

also, it looks like Squier put the vintage modified jazzmaster/jaguar bridge on it.... ewwwwww....

I'd probably replace the bridge pickup with a single-coil sized humbucker immediately, and drill the bridge holes out for a tun-o-matic, to be honest. Or find some metal tubing to fit in there to stop it rocking around.

I played the bigsby cabronita the other weekend ( in GAK, as it happens). Pleasantly surprised by how good it was, neck felt pretty good, body was a little on the light side for me. The bridge pickup does sound pretty weak next to the neck humbucker, but on a £260 guitar it's a relatively quick fix.

Definately on my list once hols are over.

i'm thinking a little '59 for the bridge

or perhaps a Fender Texas bridge pickup to keep it nice and single coil-like

Nice to see filtertrons showing up on guitars with a decent radius. That 2000000' or whatever Gretsch radius is something I find unpleasant.
