I've been doing some serious decluttering and reorganisation of all my stuff and finally got around to setting up a larger pedalboard in a more permanent state. Need to get some longer patch cables, I've got a bunch of spare George L's that I got in a trade, so I guess I'll try to rustle up some of ...

They came with low frets from the factory. After one or two levellings you can't get any lower.

I think two other factors could be the increased range of specialised high gain amps (VHT etc.) and the improvements in modelling technology. The bands looking for distortion, often metalheads, no longer see digital as a dirty word, and if they do, there are now amps up to the task without needing a...

There's plenty of distortion options.

I think the fetishism has calcified around particular Amplifiers, so the pedals are generally the "amp-in-a-box" type.

Look at Wampler's entire range for instance.

Is the front wood and the back aluminium? Unless you specify otherwise with the full alum guitars, they do the back panel in black crinkle to stave off any wear. http://reverb-res.cloudinary.com/image/upload/a_exif,c_limit,f_auto,fl_progressive,h_620,q_75,w_620/v1396576366/rogmksgyvvjwgfdig1lp.jpg ...

the tech i go to has something like this on his wall of fame. a customer's dc junior sounded too thin and had no sustain, so he routed out a gap under the pickguard and stuck too massive brass blocks in it to help ~sustain~ and ~resonance~. he's an engineer or something. i don't understand brass to...

Cracked Out Jaguar Project

This came up for sale locally (with some rather high contrast images masking the repainting... aha). I've never had a guitar with the classic jag/jazz tremolo, so I'm going to throw together a cheap jaguar. The body (apparently homemade, decent wood though) is a mess, looks like it was originally in...
