I can say for sure I wasn’t trying to deceive anyone, apologies to mkt and anyone else if you feel if that is the case. From my perspective a route has always been used to describe wood removal from a body, as such I used that language in the ad. I certainly don’t want anyone thinking ...

That’s one of the reason I bought this, I normally HATE firebird necks

Glad to see you back making them again man, I remember when you made everyone and their dog want a space station, and seeing if behringer was actually worth a second look

I haven’t got a chance to try these but I’m curious on the neck feel, Gibson did a bang up job on design but I’m Hoping they didn’t flub the neck to make it feel “modern aka normy-thin

I had an old eko, had many of the issues you described, I parted it out as I just didn’t find it an inherently playable instrument.

My buddy bought a BONAMASSA firebird, and as much as I don’t care for white boy blues, it was an undeniably great guitar. Boredom but the better of me in isolation, and I found one for $599 Canadian from L&M (*maybe* 425 American?) and it is mint. Here it is with my other single pickup ep...

Sorry for the lack of updates all, it is -25 in calgary, my furnace crapped out and I caught the mother of all colds that is going around. Before we shut the water off and escaped to my parents house until the furnace is repaired, I grabbed this guitar and my j100 so they wouldn’t freeze in the ho...

Update: TL/DR: Jesse Mast sold me a guitar with a broken Patent Number pickup, and refused to cover any expenses to fix it, instead offering me $200 less than I paid for the guitar to return it. I am not a fan of having to write this post, but unfortunately I reached out to the seller and their resp...

Really nice! How much did you pay, and are there any pics of the repair? Headstock repair was the only major repair, the wiring and hardware weren’t original but it came with the original hardware and electronics that are being added back on. I talked with the owner of es-335.com quite a bit on h...

No windfall, more like seeing how badly our dollar is going to do vs the us in the next 18 months, struggling with cites and doing the math when a player grade came up. realistically I can undo most of the sins from the last 50 years on this guitar myself or with some help from friends, and ma...

Varitone is standard but that is a dummy pot in there, the factory one was pulled when the guitar was mono’d. My buddy is a big electronics guy (owns tone hungry effects) so I might see if I can get his help on figuring the thing out again. You wouldn’t believe the rats nest of wires that go int...

I targeted only buying one guitar this year....and managed to buy it les than a week into January, it’s going to be a long year. I found a basket case 1966 355, between cites and the weakening Canadian dollar, finding affordable instruments I can get to Canada is a bitch (missed out on the same 67...

One note on the tailpiece method, be very careful on the angle, if you don't go shallow enough you could drill through the body.
