Re: ...so shortscale don't talk about Vintera II?
Yeah I don’t know what I was thinking- it definitely looks contoured the more I see it, I was probably just looking for a reason not to want another guitar.

Re: ...so shortscale don't talk about Vintera II?
Someone on an offset Facebook group posted these and I swore it looked 100% slab to me when I first saw it, but now I can’t really tell. Nobody responded to my comment asking if it was slab. I do know the Pawn Shop competition bass reissue some years ago was a slab, as was the Mikey Way bass I had. ...

Re: ...so shortscale don't talk about Vintera II?
Comp mustangs should have forearm contours. The stripe doesn’t really make sense otherwise.

Re: Incoming NKD x2
 So the CK61 - one thing I love about it is there are 20 banks with 8 patches each, and only the first 10 are loaded. So last week I spent a few hours making new patches for all of the Haunted Cat songs in our current live set and named them after the titles, then dropped those in setlist order...

Found a suitcase *almost* the perfect size so I no longer need to stretch the zipper around the massive Valco fuzz. $5 at an estate sale:

Re: Incoming NKD x2
The CK61 arrived just in time to check it out on my 15 minute work break. It’s not as sexy as the Hydrasynth but I think this is the one I needed more. When I sold my Triton Le, this is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to replace it. So easy to program and use live. Not needing to dig through coun...

Re: Incoming NKD x2
The Hydrasynth arrived Friday morning on my birthday - I haven't been able to stop playing it, but as limitless as it feels, I find myself missing a lot of the classic typical synth sounds. Most of the patches I played are inspiring to where I'll just spontaneously play something that sounds cool (t...

NKD x2
So I did a bit of a birthday splurge….but I’ve also been selling a lot of my other boards…recently sold my JU-06, Korg Poly61, RS-09, CZ-101, Triton LE. I’ve never been truly happy with my rig in Haunted Cat. I’ve gone back and forth with a tiered setup, for the longest time I was using a Triton LE ...

Re: pictures of your gear here
New board: I've heard that all the cheap nano format octave pedals are not very good. How do you find the Mooer? That’s probably for the OC-2/3 style octave down pedals (maybe also the pitchfork style like Freddy had) The V1 Tender Octaver is well regarded and basically an EHX Micro Pog, IIRC they ...

Re: pictures of your gear here
Nice. How’s the Deadbeat? Jack of all trades master of none. I usually leave it on detune for subtle chorus, but all of the other sounds besides phaser and flanger (not because I don’t like flanger/phaser, it’s just particularly bad versions of both IMO) are very usable and handy to have on the boa...

Re: Hardluck Kings Spider(s)
Just wondering Mez- did you find out if Kim went for the pro-setup option when she bought them? They offer that as an additional cost- wondering if that’s why they were so nice out of the box or if it’s just standard Either way they both look great, I think I prefer the evolution of the shape on the...

Re: NGD: 1968 Kustom K200 (and bonus Ibanez GAX30)
^ yeah I already love it as is, so I don’t plan on a refin even though it’s be guilt free from a preservation standpoint. There’s evidence in the sound hole of this originally being blue or green of some sort Maybe like this: IMG_8514.jpeg Oddly enough my best/favorite guitars tend to be boring/natu...

Re: NGD: 1968 Kustom K200 (and bonus Ibanez GAX30)
I never knew Kustom made guitars, I thought they only made amps. Aside from the weirdly placed strap button, it looks cool. A sort of weird child of Gretsch and Rickenbacker. Is the neck on that Gio on the thinner side? Gretsch plus Rickenbacker is a good way to put it, but with the neck profile of...

NGD: 1968 Kustom K200 (and bonus Ibanez GAX30)
the Ibanez was actually first… it was a $40 yardsale pickup, and to keep it cheap I just used spare parts I had in the bin to spruce it up- neck pickup is from some 70’s Harmony Les Paul and the bridge is from a Fender MIM. Speed knobs, GFS XGP 500k pots…just needed a better blade switch since all I...

Wetsand and buff out that orange peel first and foremost. Looks like good coverage and color, just need to smooth it out

Re: New Squier Paranormal Range
It was really nice quality, I liked everything about it aside from the weight (it was nearly 9 lbs) and the weird bridge plate situation (aesthetics). The pickups had a nice sound and the neck was comfortable for a XII. I only sold it because it was worth more than I had into it and couldn’t justify...
