Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I have a white one that's still in the box. It will have to wait for a bit.

The blue-on-blue looks bloody amazing. ~(bravo) You say the blue tort scratchplate was off the 'bay, and you had to re-drill the screw holes in the body? Definitely worth it though! That looks like it. There are a few suppliers on Ebay with the same pickguard. To make the PG fit you have to remove ...

I got mine today.... THE GOOD: Fretwork is actually decent. Edges are nice and smooth, totally stoked on that. The rosewood looks pretty good also after some lemon oil. Action out of the box was good. Finish (black) looks good but its kinda hard to fuck that up. THE BAD: The tuners are complete shi...

That looks FANTASTIC. My black one is on the way. I ordered some black pearloid guard material for it. My buddy is gonna help me out and duplicate the stock guard onto the pearloid. I'm gonna stick to the HH pups but use some chrome covered PRS ones ive laying around. Gonna replace the electronics ...

I think that Stripes would be right at home on one of these.

Here's how it looks today. I'm glad to finally have it put back together again.

Here’s the Bronze pickguard in natural light. In indoor lighting the Bronze looks quite a bit more Gold than what it looks like here but I can’t say I don’t like it (but it’s amazing how different it looks depending upon the light). I’m leaning towards the blue pickguard but it could easil...

In his pictures with the tort guard on it doesn't have the slide switch slots and it's in HH config. The tort pg on my black Mustang was an inexpensive S/S Pickguard that didn't have switch cutouts. I modified it to be HH. I can't remember if it was Amazon or EBay where I got it. Haven't seen anoth...

I walked into guitar center two weeks ago and I was stunned at the amazing selection of Squiers they had, some even looked like high-end fenders. From jaguars with Seymour Duncan pick ups, mustangs, fancy colored matching headstock strats and they only had one Jazzmaster sadly which was the J Masci...

That is weird. I love the Kluson "Safety" split posts. I try to use them when possible.

Yeah, they're called conversion bushings. It's really pretty simple. http://www.wdmusic.com/kluson_adapter_bushings_ferrules_6.html When I say drill, I'm talking about back of the headstock. The front, you just stuff these into. Conversion bushings are for the post holes. The conversion bushings ma...

Will the Kluson saftey-post tuners drop right in, or would I have to re-drill the screw holes? I'd like to use these with the nickel knobs http://www.amazon.com/Kluson-SD9105MN-Vintage-Tuning-Machines/dp/B006X0TD5E/ It's a totally different screw pattern for Klusons so you will have to re-drill but...

Is this string thru body or what? The fender website says specifically "SIX-SADDLE STRING-THRU-BODY BRIDGE A string-thru-body bridge enhances vibration transfer, resulting in increased sustain, while the six individual saddles can be adjusted for precise intonation along each string." But...

I used one of those on my Mustang (USA). It was a pain in arse to remove the tab at the bottom, which you probably don't have to do because I don't think you have a curved slot, but then I had to file the bottom again because it was too high, and the sides as well because it was too wide. A lot of ...
