for my birthday (which one???!!), i rounded out the board with a HOTONE (which i researched and found out is said "hot tone") flange pedal. i'd never had a stand alone flange before as the negative 80s association warded me off. so while i've used it sparingly in studio and within MFXPs, ...

As opposed to the raisedinabarncaster, that’s a Strat that had the rear tremolo covered removed and never replaced.
Well, as nice as this one looks I'll still probably take that cover off. :) Of course I was basically raised in a barn. :)

I did not think there was enough wood for a guitar and we had to be a little creative in placement. This piece shown had a decent end crack and then 2 knots (1 pretty mangled). When we split the wood and played around with it we were able to keep the split and 1 knot out of the guitar and 1 knot is ...

The frets are super interesting! Real gold is super soft and will wear down quickly and any other way you get them that color seems like it would scratch off to the under material from string wear. How's it work? Gold itself is very soft for sure. These are not gold. Its a Copper alloy so they are ...

New Strat Build (NOW WITH PICS)

So, some may remember the thread about me having a tele built out of wood from my Grandpa's barn after he passed. Turns out there was enough wood left for a 2nd one. SO. had another friend build me a strat. Specs. Cherry (chambered) body and neck Cocobolo fretboard Anodized gold pickguard gold hardw...

been out of town most of the month but wanted to chime in on this thread. I have the tonemaster Deluxe Reverb. Weighs 23lbs. My guitarist recommended it after using one on a session (he is picky as hell and his stage amps are a 64 and a 68 deluxe... ) Great amp. super light. Plenty of volume. Usable...

Looks good.. I really love how they have placed the contour coloring ! As a practical instrument looks good. Watched the Anderton review, how it sounded as the little body version and the Overdrive sound was pretty nice.. But as a hobby home strummer, when there is guitar charging and some AI gener...

Playing at The Tipsy Crow in the Gaslamp occasionally.. This weekend I am actually full up. Guadalajara he...

Gig #2 in the books. 3 hour solo. Went well. Getting it better dialed in. Going to send it off for a full setup this week and expect to use it again next weekend. :)

OK. first after action report. Used it for 2.5 hour straight solo gig today. Just the guitar and my vocals. Wide range of cover music. It is pretty damned cool. It is straight out of the box. Still factory strings and have not had a full setup done to it. My thoughts... I could have used a few more ...

interesting. i'd have to hold one and hear how it sounds i think as the aesthetic in the photos isn't quite firing for me. i like the concept, tho. I agree that they look a bit odd. I am actually going to play a short solo acoustic tomorrow with it (though I will have a "normal" acoustic ...

I am not sure why I do not like the naturals. Maybe it's just because I have plenty of acoustic guitars and my tele and strat (being built) I do have are natural as well. In fact these are the only non natural/stained guitars I own unless you count my burst Les Paul and El Rey Eastmans

pretty cool, can't wait to see/hear it in action! i also kinda would like to see that guitar in a natural finish all around. i don't know the colors are necessary, but maybe i'm biased when it comes to acoustics. Danelectro Convertible yeah, and no. The electric in this is set up with it's own IR so you can run it straight into a PA and it doesnt sound like a boxy acoustc guitar that has been amplified/distorted. It sounds, direct into the PA, like an electric guitar into a tube amp. Then at the flip of the...

Think these seem like a great idea... they should have done some sort of f hole / Charvel surfcaster slash on the top rather than a standard sound hole. While I agree looks wise, the sound hole serves a purpose. This thing sounds like an acoustic guitar. Not a hollowbody electric. It is easily loun...
