Another vote for Tanglewood from me....if you're after something that'll play well without breaking the bank, can't go wrong with these. Here's mine:

Yep, can definitely vouch for the playability of CBS-era Fender. My '78 Musicmaster plays wonderfully. As with a lot of them, the neck-pocket leaves something to be desired aesthetically, but the guitar still sustains & resonates much better than guitars that looked like they were put together w...

Actually, the more I look at this ebay listing, the crankier I get...To paraphrase: You fix it - I fix it??? This shit is un-fixable. How about you fucking bin it (or all of the 90% of it that is technically unusable), then list the pickups, electronics & whatever is actually useful from this cl...

Why haven't they just disclosed in the ad what is actually useful in this thing or parted it out properly. Last thing anyone needs is to be sent a box of orange sparkle splinters to cut the living fuck out of themselves on. This whole listing is just pure laziness on the seller's part imho.

Would definitely give Cooterfinger my money over either of the other jokers mentioned in this thread, nitro tort or not. Am planning on snagging one of these Jags at some point. I'll probably replace pickguard too, but it'll be mint or parchment when the time comes. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Sounds like you lucked out on this one. Think it's a Withnail & I quote that even a fucked clock gives the correct time twice a day. On that basis, even Jeannies Pickguards get it right occasionally I guess.

Now for a project update... the guard came from Jeanie pickguards. It is such good quality nitro red tort. i don't know why he has such a bad rep. Hmmm....could it be his consistent inability to listen to anyone and general air of disdain towards people who are effectively bankrolling his business?...

All Epiphone SGs are not created equal. I originally purchased mine second hand for peanuts just to have something with humbuckers on hand when recording & it's got to the point where it gets more play than any other guitar I own!

What sort of trust fund hipster douche does this to their guitar? I'm guessing the "Crazy Story" is actually banal as fuck & is truthfully along the lines of "yeah...I drank some beers & smoked some weed & my parents paid for everything I own anyway, so I, like, thought wh...

Champ 600 is great - as others have said, these take pedals really well, aren't expensive for what they are, easy to transport & sound good.

I really don't want spend best part of a grand or whatever to go through the hassle of getting a new pickguard cut an spending out on a matching pup ^plant me here. I would love a Bass VI, but at this price-point it's a no-dice. What will the bods at Fender do next to make me facepalm? Perhaps they...

^^Valid point here. If you contact through the website, you're unlikely to get someone at the store itself. I've purchased second-hand from GAK before. That said, I am only 10 mins up the road from there, so it is easy to pop in & try stuff out if I'm interested in buying something. If you need ...
