Re: New guitar project
Their gold top is sexy. So is the OO and so is the Junior. Yeah, I have a sb55v. I want a p90s goldtop (sb56). All my main guitars are Eastman. My mains stage is a AC520CE (not made anymore). Has a E10ss but the smaller neck didn't get along with my carpal tunnel (great tone though). Also have one ...

Re: New guitar project
lol I am not completely disagreeing on any of that. I liked the layered wood and the neck was amazing.. But those cutouts were just weird and WAY too big. Not sure had it worked out that it would have done anything besides hang at home. Oh well, I am heading to the Eastman headquarters thursday so I...

Re: New guitar project
Well, that ended up spectacularly bad as it was severely damaged in shipping. Going to take that as a sign. Lol. Guitar shipped back to builder. Money refunded. Insurance claim filed (on his part). Shame. It was a pretty beautiful guitar in the end.

Re: New guitar project
I dont know the weight. The wood isn't particularly light (purpleheart in specific) but the holes should offset that a bit. It will be a heavy guitar due to the jazzmaster size and it being hardwoods but I think it will be a manageable weight. My tele is a brick. I actually don't mind heavy guitars ...

Re: New guitar project
Definitely funky and a little gaudy. And I do think the holes he carved are a little too big. But no one can say its boring or plain. Well they can......
Eventually guard will likely get swapped to a anodized one. Maybe..

Re: New guitar project
great choice of wood there. can't wait to see it finished! A friend had an old 60's purple sparkle jazzmaster with the anodized golds pickguard (what I will eventually find for this one as well, but aged pearl to start). that was the idea but to use purpleheart as the top. The middle is maple and b...

Re: New guitar project
I would have done the rear ones a little smaller and a bit closer to the rear of the body but it will be interesting.

Re: New guitar project
may be. For the most part, I'm just letting a friend do his thing on it. May end up weird looking. I am OK with that. I rarely even play electric outside of the house. Pretty much 95% acoustic

Will have a qtr pounder in the bridge and a tv jones in neck. reversed strat headstock. reversed tele switch plate. Gold hardware. aged pearl...

Re: ISO guitar rig for desk
Forgive my ignorance, but if the monitors are powered, couldn't you just run the headrush into them? Great suggestion. I actually used to own a th10 and gave it to a kid who really needed a bedroom level amp (glad I helped him out but l kind of bummed I don't still have it now...) I had forgotten a...
