That and an extension speaker would be a decent little set up. Space them out for a bit of spread on stage.Bacchus wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 11:24 pm Realise I didn't include the link earlier. These are the ones I use. Possibly different size. Think it's the 10" one anyway.

Re: Sans drummer help
Yes been looking at keyboard amps actually! Have found a Peavey kb300 locally for 40 quid that might just be the business for now. Like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275909922428?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ZeduLCl5RhO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Oo2_ycAsTr2&var=...

Re: Seymour Duncan DDL
It’s a Duncan Distortion pickup, the L denotes who wound it at the factory (Lydia) but the model is a SH-6 Duncan distortion. They are a high output pickup, hard rock and metal heads love them.

Re: Sans drummer help
Would something like a keyboard amp be a better option? Luggable and full range as they usually have a mix of speakers in them to give it some low end and some high end shine.

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
So had this for a couple of weeks now and so far I love it. I can see why people rave about them for the price point. Can’t remember what my old MBM Timmy was like, but setting it to a mid gain always on base tone it really shines. Makes my little MG10 clean channel sound like a more expensive amp 😂...

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
Caline Pure Sky is a great Timmy clone. Mosky makes Obsessive Overdrive in a nano format although all Mosky pedals are built from regular electric components(not SMD) and can be modded. Both pedals are dirt cheap. Took the plunge on a pure sky, £15 used isn’t too bad? Hoping it stacks nicely with t...

New Old Pedal Day: Danelectro PB & J
My first ever dealy pedal was a Danelectro PB & J. I can remember buying it new in the late 90’s/early 2000’s after seeing it in the John Hornsby skews gear magazine you could get free through the post. I didn’t know the difference between analog and digital when it came to delays back then, but...

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
I had a made by Mike Timmy clone years ago, but it got fried accidentally and although it still kinda worked, it was never the same. Had a few OCD pedals in the past, both fulltone and clones. I really liked the Mooer hustle drive clone. I keep hearing good thinks about the EHX glove Marshall type p...

Been a while since I’ve had a roadie……….
Helping daddy with his new old wah pedal.
Fuzz face definitely doesn’t like the wah in front of it, neither does the octavio. But running the wah after both and having the amp on edge of breakup and it sounds fucking glorious!!

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
Proper love my MG10, stupidly good for such a cheap basic amp. More and more lately, I've been coming the conclusion that the best I sound is when I have two minutes to quickly set up whatever really shitty 5w amp I can put my hand on, work out which of the school guitars are least broken and most ...

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
Have been using a Digitech 'SCREAMIN' BLUES' Blues Driver copy- but-better as my base 'clean' tone in Doghands, and using a Boss LS-2 to stick a Wampler fuzz after it to enjoy the spiky times of how they interact - GREAT feedback. That said, may move to just using the LS-2 to toggle between them, a...

Guessing honesty is in short supply these days. First time I’ve experienced that on FB market place.
I’ve got a lead on a £25 SD-1, thankfully not the same seller or in the same area.

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
I think the Hendrix versions are the best sounding - am probably biased but…. Yours is such a cool version, I can see it being less “desirable” to the masses but I think it’s ace. I like the artwork, defo stands out and still feels like stepping on a land mine. I’d agree with that. Back in 2015 I d...

Re: Always on pedals, a popular option?
Similar to mine then. The primal scream one is just a full sized Hendrix fuzz face with a paint job. I was toying with just getting a mini, but this was cheaper. Guessing they didn’t like primal scream ruining their pedalboard aesthetics.
