yeah that picture is great, I have been tempted to rip off the idea every time I walk by an ice cream truck with a camera. I still have to try some of the fuji 200 stuff. I have found this out about kodak gold though. the latest make of kodak gold 100 and 200 are based off of the old kodak pro foto ...

an Alpha Juno sounds like what you're looking for.
vintage synth
you do rule out a lot of really great synths though by only looking at analog. but oh well.

they're affordable because they're audio production gear that once was commonly in every studio but is now fairly out of vogue. everyone just uses plug-ins now. a lot of rack reverbs are better than any pedal reverb. I guess guitarists have avoided them because they're digital. but unless you only l...

another cool one is where people draw things in the scene with sparklers or some light like that. I think this guy Eric Staller was the first to do it but it's pretty popular and widely done now. do a google image search for 'sparkler long exposure' to see what I mean.

yeah I guess you would only really think of it or really understand it if you've used a camera in these sort of ways and seen the results. I think our eyes do work something like that as in if you swing something really fast it looks spread out. or like a blinking light on a bike wheel, you see a pa...

But I think that guitars like this are awesome. They play quite well and look quite nice. http://guitarasylum.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/prs_hbii_bm.jpg I could not think of a better example of a more hideously tacky guitar. blue flame maple with clashing gold hardware are you fucking kidding me. ...

(dumb question not worth starting a thread for, and this seems almost appropriate...) in general, will a Strat neck fit on a Tele body with no problems? any combinations that won't work for sure? i love the look of the early 70s Tele Deluxe, but the pick guard makes me ill. might consider building ...

the negatives start to look a bit thin. you can tell especially by looking at the edge numbers. I was extending the developing time to compensate but still they were coming out a bit thin looking. I think there might be some scientific method of determining precisely the amount of extra time but aft...

I think film will be around for a long time. consumer grade film will probably phase out though. I estimate it will be gone in the next 10 years. that's why I'm having fun learning about film cameras as much as I can with cheap consumer grade film while it's still around so when it's limited to a mo...
