Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?

I have an M13 and an M5 which I've been tempted to put in the loop (M17?) of the M13. It would be good if there was a way of using the MIDI connects to synch tap tempo across them. Maybe there is, I dunno. MIDI is some weird black magic. Also been meaning to pick up the Zoom CDR70 for the last aaage...

Re: Pedalboard modellers: Whats your pick?

I realize I'm a few years behind here, but I really enjoyed the Line 6 M13. It's all their original FX modeling pedals in one, with a slightly better looper. No amp modeling though. This is where I'm at, blissfully ten years behind the curve, getting what feels like (to me) cutting edge technology ...

Re: BASSBREAKER

This is Fender's take on a Marshall JTM45 sort of deal, isn't it? I'd be interested to know how you get on. When they first came out, I sort of didn't like the idea of this amp because Marshall already make something that sounds like a Marshall, and I really didn't like the aesthetics for some reaso...

Re: First song recorded with our current band

Similar to Nick, I started listening on my phone but quickly decided that it sounded like something that merits a proper listen, and bailed out. Sounded really cool! (or at least the first twenty seconds did, dunno if it goes to shit after that....) I'll get the proper system cranked this evening an...

Re: Guild Surfliner project...need advice

This probably isn't the answer you want to hear, but the neck looks terrible on that guitar anyway, while the body looks sweet as fuck and a little bit special.

Search on. There must be a neck that doesn't mean surgery on the body.

Re: Free Plugins Database Thread.

Saw that yesterday. Went to install it, had to install their own standalone plugin subscription/management app type thing and create accounts for same. Got most of the way through then sacked it off and decided I'd pirate the fucker instead.

Re: Fender Tonemaster Pro

Yeah, that looks great. Didn't know you could put acoustic through it, but I suppose it would be strange if you couldn't. I was at a wedding recently and the guitarists and bassist were all going through helixes. Sounded really, really good. They also had an electric drum kit. Drummer had a tiny mix...

The knobs are actually the only thing he changed. Everything else is just an optical illusion.

Re: "New" "Band" finally got a demo together

Thanks for the kind words. I'm excited to see where we go from here. We've sort of accidentally ended up with two singers, but the one on this recording is likely to be the one with time to commit to rehearsals and practice etc. I do like the idea of two singers, but don't want to string people alon...

"New" "Band" finally got a demo together

I say new, I've been playing with the drummer and bassist since just after lockdown. But we finally found a singer.

Re: pictures of your gear here

It's well worth picking up an expression pedal for the M5. Reeeally opens it up.

There're cheap ones that can be easily modded to work with it:

Re: Woodrite Switchblade

Hmm. This might be nearly brilliant. Can't really work it out. I'm immediately put off by the crap font on the headstock. I think I'm mostly put off by the weird way the lower edge of the body loses its chamfer to hug the scratch plate tightly. I think this idea (Jazzmaster, but SG'd) could be bette...
