I've never played an Eko, I've read somewhere that the wood is thicker than average acoustic guitars they're heavy and sound a bit crap. Though I'm drawn to them due to the bolt on neck (shimmable) and height adjustable bridge. I've owned a few cheap crappy acoustic guitars with set necks and all of...

It might not be at that time, but when he removes the pickups they are clearly marked up as Seymour Duncans.

*edit*
Look at 1:42 and 1:57

I'm pretty sure this job would be done FOC for Slash, being a valued customer

For me, it's more like a 12 string Jagmaster.
Strat-like bridge, humbuckers, no rhythm circuit. Jagmaster. Sorry, I'm a pedant.

Also: that headstock. It's a harpoon!

http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpgjbwf6Xq1qgtwuu.jpg I was kinda thinking Aye Aye; long finger for the chugging drop tuned riffage, little fingers for the widdly widdly stuff. http://c0p1l2n0.polaris.psu.edu/sites/default/files/styles/embedded_media/public/MillerPerry_female_ayeaye.jpg Anyway, an i...

On a semi serious note; how would you reach the lower strings to fret them?

I like it. I don't know why, but for me it works better than comp blue.
While it clearly is a bit of a tribute to aged blue compstangs.
Incidentally, are you just going to rock out as is or get a decal for the headstock?

Any idea what that scar on the front is from?
My guess is a bucking bronco sticker.

I want to wire the bridge humbucker to a stock Mustang switch as series/off/parallel (as the 2 halves of the HB in series and parallel) I haven't quite found the diagram I need for that though. Can anybody point me in the right direction? The neck pickup will just be stock 'stang on/off/out of phase...

Oh, I see what you mean by asymmetric now; the tip of the headstock had a notch in it.
Didn't know that was a thing.

*EDIT* I still think the Silvertone had a MUCH sexier headstock

I am strangely attracted to the Chinese ones, particularly the ones with the asymmetrical headstock, they are also a bit heavier like the new ones. Do you mean the Silvertone reissues? There is a little overlap between Dano and Silvertone. I want one of these: http://www.silvertoneclassic.com/wp-co...

I like it! Like the Jagstang it's a bit 'lets throw all the best bits of a guitar together and hope it turns out good'.
Not for everyone though.

Weren't Mustangs released in 1964?
Making the 50th anniversary last year?
