actually i did measure the necks also, and i can confirm that the jag-stang is thinner. i will try to find those pics later next week.

Thats its correct term. The Jaguars from the US that are available now are AmaericanVintageReIssue (AVRI) as are the Jazzmasters. The first run are AV. The Mustang has never been reissued from America.
