Rare Buzz Effects - Cyborg

Received my new “cyborg” pedal by Rare Buzz Effects today. A limited run version of their Snitch pedal. It’s a Rat type with switch for Silicon/LED/Germanium clipping, effectively giving you a Rat2, Turbo and You Dirty in one. All profits went to charities supporting the people of Ukraine. They rais...

Re: So, I uh, might have done something kind of stupid..

Maybe they have evolved the JVM series in the meantime and fixed that channel switching issue, or maybe I was in the wrong in wanting my new amp to be exactly as good as my old amp but with MORE. Can’t say I’ve noticed any sort of latency in channel switching, but have got a practice tomorrow night...

I have a feeling I noticed that happening on my JTM60 and changed a capacitor. Not to be confused with ...

Re: So, I uh, might have done something kind of stupid..

Thoughts on the Marshall Origin series of amps? I haven’t played one yet but came across them the other day. Depends on which one. The tiny (5watt?) one is a bit tinny, but I think the 20 watt is decent. Yeah really good to my ears. We clubbed together to buy my Dad the 20w combo for his 70th last ...

Re: So, I uh, might have done something kind of stupid..

I fixed the picture Doog  (sorry to hijack the thread Paul!) Got my original JVM in 2007 when they came out and sold it in 2010 or 11. Have wished I hadn’t for a while now. It’s like turning back time 15 years…midlife crisis anyone? Either way, it’s a bloody great amp and have been playin...

Re: So, I uh, might have done something kind of stupid..

Not quite yet, but the 2x12 is going - had to promise that to the wife! The 2x12 is an MX but I put greenbacks in it to replace the 70/80s which I thought were rubbish. A compact 4x12 like yours sounds like a good thing. In the 1960 it’s the standard G12-75s, I like them and am used to them as it’s ...

Re: So, I uh, might have done something kind of stupid..

I think the “stupid” must be catching, I drove to Sidmouth this afternoon to pick up a Marshall 1960a 4x12 to replace my much more convenient vertical 2x12

Re: Boss RE-2 Space Echo (and RE-202!)

Thanks for the “review” Doog, it confirms what I’ve read elsewhere. Had already come to the conclusion that I’d only get the 202 but the size is a no go on my board at the moment.
